Welcome to our cleaning company SpotlesSea where we help nature fight back, so sea life can regain its power. With our three products, the ‘Human Repellent Supreme’, ‘Suck-It Oil Wash Bar’ and the ‘Universal Sunscreen Filter’, we made a variety of products for our stormy future in the speculative design and strategic foresight workshop.
This workshop was part of the Media Mediterranea festival, under the curatorial concept “Worlding the Hydrosphere”, which addressed burning issues of marine and maritime worlds, coastal communities, their manifold ecologies and challenges of sustainability, post-tourism, sea-borne migrations, oceanic and archipelagic thinking, climate change, energy consumption, post-growth, and much more. Is there a space for a new kind of (Blue) Humanities to emerge?
